At Cohen & Greene, P.A., our attorneys are committed to activities that better our Maryland communities. These activities have included work with the youth in our community, active support of various charities and professional work for the betterment of society. Specifically, Cohen & Greene, P.A. attorney Adam G. Cohen has donated many hours of his time as the head coach of youth ice hockey teams. In 2008-2009 he coached the Maryland Bayhawks Ice Hockey team for local youth from 15-18 years of age. From 2009-2012, he was the head coach of the youth Bantam Ice Hockey team at Navy and lead his team to a league championship in 2011. From 2018 to present, he has been coaching two different Mite teams with Bowie Hockey Club. Adam also volunteers as the Chairman of the Annapolis City Public Safety Disability Retirement Board. Since 1981, Allen W. Cohen has volunteered his time to act as the attorney for the Arundel Fire Department, Station 7. These hardworking Ambulance and Firefighting personnel want only to serve the community. When legal issues become an impediment to this service, Mr. Cohen has provided his services to help. Allen also annually sponsors the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation which provides sports themed services to disadvantaged youth around the country.
Allen W. Cohen, Adam G. Cohen and their families have been active participants and sponsors of numerous fund raising projects for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America. Their families have raised in excess of $10,000.00 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by participation in marathon races in Frederick, Maryland; Baltimore, Maryland; and Annapolis, Maryland. Cohen & Greene, P.A. was a corporate sponsor of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Team in Training program for the Baltimore marathon in October, 2008. They actively support the Giving Back, Inc. charity, which delivers warm clothing and food to the homeless in Baltimore and Anne Arundel County in Maryland, and Washington, D.C. during the Christmas season. Since 2005, they have raised more than $30,000.00 for this worthwhile program. Each Christmas Eve, Giving Back go to the streets of Baltimore to deliver clothing and food to the homeless and help raise the spirits of this neglected part of our community.
